The Simpsons: Hit and Run, a beloved action-adventure game based on the popular animated series, has been ported to several platforms, including PC. However, there's no official release for the PS Vita. In this post, I will guide you on how to install the game on your PS Vita. This is an open-source port by ZenoArrows, built from the leaked source code of the PC version, that works with your own copy of the game.
The Simpsons: Hit and Run Introduction
Game Overview
The Simpsons: Hit and Run is an open-world action-adventure game that combines exploration, car driving, and missions with a storyline full of the iconic humor from the Simpsons TV show. Players control different members of the Simpsons family as they uncover a conspiracy involving aliens and the town of Springfield.
In this PS Vita port, you'll experience all the same fun gameplay elements from the PC version, now optimized for handheld play.
Storyline
Set in the fictional town of Springfield, the story follows the Simpson family as they investigate strange happenings in their hometown, including mysterious surveillance cameras and a new cola that seems to have odd effects on the townspeople. As players advance through the game, they will uncover a plot involving aliens, government conspiracies, and the Simpson family's comedic antics.
This port preserves the original storyline, offering fans of the series and newcomers alike a chance to experience one of the best Simpsons games ever made.
Note: This is an open-source port by ZenoArrows (GitHub) built from the leaked PC source code — it is not a bundled copy of the game. You need your own legitimate copy of The Simpsons: Hit and Run on PC to supply the required game assets, as shown in Part 1 below.
