However, there's no official release for the PS Vita. In this post, I will guide you on how to install the game on your PS Vita. This is a fan-made patch by PatnosDD, open source on GitHub, that works with your own PC version of the game (Steam or GOG) — I strongly recommend supporting the developers by purchasing the game on Steam.

Note: This is a fan-made patch by PatnosDD (open source on GitHub) — it is not a bundled copy of the game. You need your own legitimate copy of Hollow Knight on Steam or GOG to build the required data yourself, as shown in Part 1 below.

Part 1 - Patch Your Own Game Data
How to build the data from your own copy (Steam or GOG)
1. Download the patch tool from the official GitHub (PatnosDD/Hollow-Knight-PsVita), matching your version.
2. For Steam: place your own ..\steamapps\common\Hollow Knight folder inside the extracted patch folder. For GOG: place your own ..\GOG\Hollow Knight\Hollow Knight_Data folder instead.
3. Run APPLYPATCH.bat and wait (around 15–25 minutes depending on your system).
4. Once finished, you'll get a file named HollowKnightVITA.zip — this is the data you'll copy to your Vita in Part 2.
Part 2 - Install on PS Vita
How to install on your Vita
1. Install the Hollow Knight .vpk (the open-source loader) using VitaShell, or download it straight from VitaDB.
2. Copy the contents of HollowKnightVITA.zip to ux0:app/HKVT12222/, selecting "Replace the files in destination" when prompted.
3. Launch the game.

Is this a full copy of the game?
No. This is a fan-made patch — you need to own Hollow Knight on Steam or GOG yourself and run the patch tool with your own game files, as shown in Part 1. The download here only provides the loader/patch tool.
Known issues
Textures are downsized and frame rate is capped at 30 FPS (may drop in busy scenes with multiple enemies). Loading times are longer due to the Vita's I/O speed, and you may occasionally notice a brief lag spike, especially in the tutorial scene.
